Advocacy

"Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding."
- Albert Einstein
Advocacy-oriented peace psychologists, sometimes as part of the peace movement, try to influence policymakers and society more generally in terms of peace psychology's normative orientation toward the ideal of peace. This can take various forms, for example participating in peace activities (e.g., demonstrations), releasing political statements, or giving expert evidence in the policy development process.
